iMaritime app for iPhone and iPad

A maritime educational application helping students to appear for their Certificate of Competency worldwide. The syllabus caters to the STCW 78 convention as amended by the Manila 2010 amendments.

The application uses a unique pedagogy allowing students to capture their voice, video and photographs and upload them as online mobile assignments. This is done through their respective mobile devices. Assignment feedback is provided and aggregate scores are displayed to monitor progress of the student throughout the course.

The application allows you to view the following:

a) Calendar events
b) Private messages and notification from the tutor
c) View your activity and total grades in a course
d) Download and your private and course files.

You can view and access these files on a ship. This might be particularly useful in instances where your internet connection might be limited or absent.

At present the Deck (Navigation) syllabus is covered. Engineering is in the pipeline.

This application could be an ideal companion for you at sea. It will help you to study and prepare at your own pace. Whenever you have an internet connection the application will log on to the servers and update any recent course material that has been uploaded.
